I noticed that you can make regular overpayments to our mortgage as well as a 10% lump sum
For the lump sum in mentions a 10 pounds charge but ive we decide to overpay say 50 pounds a month every month as a regular overpayment would they charge is ten pounds a month for the privildige
Ive tried looking on thw website but it doesnt make complete sence to me
Thanks

Hi, I'm with C & G and I over pay by £100 each month and have never been charged. I believe that if you are simply increasing the monthly DD but not reducing the capital each month then no charge applies.Excited for Florida - May 2012 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

No you don't get charged unless it's a capital overpayment (not a small repayment) - a capital one is when a lump sum is big (usually more than twice what you normally pay but you need to check with them) and when either your term or monthly payments are re-calculated.
In my case I pay here and there when I have spare money twice I overpaid by over £1000 (when normally my mortgage is £700) and wasn't charged but when I overpaid once £5000 and asked for the term to be re-calculated they charged me £10 - it's because it shows instantly and my term went down by over 2 years.
Hope that clarifies your question0
