Dixons voucher code for a Washer Dryer? please help

Hi,
I want to purchase an Indesit Washer Dryer at Dixons online and have looked up the voucher code at various sites and its "WASHDRY4" for washer dryers which is meant to expire on 28/04/2009. I tried to purchase this item and used this code which came back with an error "The voucher number you have entered has now expired". That's still 3 days left!.
Any idea why the code did not work even though it's not supposed to be expired, as of today?
Thanks in advance.

I have had my eye on a Washing machine at Dixons, after reading your post, I checked The Washer only discount code WASHER4, I know it's no help to you, but this code still works ok.
Thanks, because i forgot about these codes expiring on Tuesday.0 -
Just bought a Zannusi Washer dryer from dixons tonight and I used the code WASHDRY4 and it worked, you have to enter it during the checkout stage, the price was £369, I entered the code and it dropped to £354.24.
Also I went through topcashback site where they give 3% cashback as well. Also paid on cashback credit card so all in all a good result.
Maybe the code was not in operation when you tried it so just try it again, it was literally about 20 minutes ago (20:35)that I just did it.
Good luckOld pilots say "It is better to be down here Wishing you were up there, than up there wishing you were down here."0 -
Hi Diesel44 & dazza001,
Thanks for the advice.
I managed to get my WasherDryer ordered from Dixons (unfortunately it was just before dazza001's reply) so I only got a 4% discount with the voucher code. Still, better than paying an extra £90~ from Currys.
The reason I had problems, which was my oversight, was that at the checkout, it had the appliance and I selected the old appliance to be collected aswell. Then I entered the voucher code. This did not work.
I completed this successfully when I had another go, but this time I used the voucher code before selecting the old appliance to be collected.
So I hope to get my appliance next week.
Thanks again.

Hi again dazza001,
What cashback site did you use?
Have you used them before?
Thanks.0 -
Hello,
I used topcashback.co.uk.
Yes I have used them before, they are really good, I have had a lot of cashback from them and it gets paid by bacs straight to your bank account. It normally takes ages though, but I have never not been paid.
The best I have had was £75 for taking out house insurance with Birmingham Midshires last year (I think its gone down to £45 now)
Hope this helpsOld pilots say "It is better to be down here Wishing you were up there, than up there wishing you were down here."0 -
Hi dazza001,
Thanks. I will take a look at topcashback.co.uk
Sounds like you got a good deal with your house insurance - nice one.
Thanks again.
