They will only help if you cut fat right out of your diet. Most dieters will lose weight with a little fat in their diet as it makes food more palatable. With Alli / Xenical it passes straight out of your colon, at times without warning. Expect oily anal leakage. Think of it as regression to a time when you needed to wear a nappy...

Sensible wt loss through diet and exercise is best.

Sorry but this is totally incorrect.

Alli is supposed to stop a 1/4 of the fat in your "balanced" meals being absorbed.

If there is no fat at all then Alli has nothing to do and will have no effect whatsoever.

i dont reccommend it at all, having had it prescribed, I was a terrible victim of the oil leakage. Imagine how bad it is then multiply by 10. That was on an incredibly low fat diet.

I agree with Enfieldian, these tablets work better if you have a certain amount of fat in your diet.
    Vfm4meplse have you tried them?
I have and had a good weight loss from them too.
If think they will be a miracle cure that means you can eat what you like and lose weight then your wrong!
Not once did I suffer the oily stools everyone talks about, so I can only assume they were abusing them.
    Good luck OP.

As a way of keeping you on the straight-and-narrow on a low-fat diet I think they could be a good thing as the punishment for straying doesn't bear thinking about
