Speak to an Independent Financial Adviser seems to be the better option.
I will look up this option now.

    Thanks.

The use of ISAs for retirement purposes usually means S&S ISAs not cash ISAs.
Out of curiousity, what is an S&S ISA? It's not a pension fund I can transfer mine into is it?

It's a stocks and shares ISA. You have an allowance of £7200 each year, up to which £3600 can be put into a cash ISA. The stocks and shares ISA can hold the same type of investments as the pension which is why it can be used as an alternative.

The thread you thread mainly refers to its use rather than cash.

No - it's another tax wrapper like the pension but has different rules.
