barclaycard still harassing me

i am in the process of setting up a DMP and am currently getting 4 or 5 phone calls a day, and have been for the last 2 weeks, i have sent off the harassment letter but it has not helped, any one know what the next step should be and if there are template letters i should send off to the relevent authorities.?

Within the harassment letter, it clearly states what action YOU will take if the calls don't cease, it's now in your hands to pursue that action.

Send copies of both your original & harassment lettler to the authorities, you don't require a templete letter Uncle Buck, just an a4 document registering your complaint.

Barclaycard were the same with me. The harrassment only stopped about 3 months later after they sent a doorstep collector and I'm on a dmp with CCCS and was then. Not heard a peep out of them since May last year and they eventually accepted my dmp.

You just have to bear with them - they do eventually give up. Don't answer the phone to them and if they get crafty like they did we me and start texting pretending to be a "friend" ignore them too.

Send the letters as suggested above. BC seem to think they are above the law and can do what they want.

Make sure you send them recorded delivery otherwise they will deny having received them. They did with me until I told them who had signed for the letter!!!

They are bad at it, even after speaking to you they will ring repeatedly still after...!

Sygma/Creation/LaSer are worse, the calls won't stop until you make a payment (As told to me by one of their call center agents) so they will ring repeatedly - and ring - hang up - ring again.

Make your complaints to OFT and Trading Standards, then inform Barclaycard you have made a complaint about them. They may just play ball and cease the phone calls. I've done this with several credit card companies and it's worked without fail. Hopefully it will for you too.

Don't forget to report them to OFCOM too.

I have read that Ofcom considers more than one call in 72 hours to be harassment. Just make sure you refuse to give any information when speaking to anyone on the phone - date of birth, address etc
