does anyone know if it is free car parking in manchester on a sunday? and is so is it everywhere? i have to go to the arndale.

Opposite the entrance to the MEN arena (whatever it's called now), there is carpark that is free at weekends. If there is an event on at the arena then you might get a couple of guys in hi-viz vests trying to usher you to a private carpark at £5, just ignore them and park in the main carpark or on the road at the side."And crawling on the planet's face,

How odd! I was going to ask the exact same question! Picking the folks up at Man airport at 5pm on sunday, so thought we'd head across for the day. any tips on cheap shopping areas (whilst parking for free on the street!)?0

if you're gonna shop you may wish to hit the trafford centre, which has free parking and it open 12-6pm sunday.
otherwise manchester arndale has mostly the same range of shops as elsewhere, cept a very large debenhams, and a good TK Maxx. All street parking (meters and SINGLE yellow lines) are free on a sunday.
Church street car park is £2.30 all day and is the closest one to the shopping.It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -

Thanks guys. we have a primark in sheffield - although it's hard to resist! fancied going to central man so i could dump the OH in the imperial war museum
. not been to the arndale since before the bomb (when i was little) and only been to the trafford once...ohh so many options! might be free parking but i'm sure i'll spend a lot! (although need to get a suit so good excuse for spending lots!) 0
