You'll need to give us a bit more information

    - is this a private arrangement?

    - what does your ex do? do you know roughly how much he earns?

    - how many kids do you have and what are their ages?

    - if you are on a low income are you claiming all you are entitled to like WTC/CTC, poss HB and CTB?

These aren't nosey questions it's just that we will need more info to give you an accurate response :)

Loopy it is a verbal contract she said, so nothing legal at the moment.

    Ah right, so it does!!

If it's a verbal arrangement then OP and he is not paying then you could say to him that you will have no option but to go to the CSA.

He may actually not be working though and maybe the money he is spending is actuallyhis wife's.

And you also need to make sure that you and your family are getting all youe entitlements.

Put your details into this website and it will tell you roughly what you are able to claim https://www.entitledto.com
  • thanks for advice,im not sure hes working ,hes a waste of space so dont know when to believe him,i think i will call csa surely if there is a wage coming in he has to pay something,he really makes my blood boil, tax credits we were getting said we have to pay back, the same old story with them,so now get nought, dont understand this ,as people on more money seem to get more than we had ,anyway thankyou
  • If you arent sure u may aswell call the csa, they will find out if he is working or not
