in Cutting tax
I really don't understand P60's but having just got mine I'm trying to. I'm pretty sure I've paid the right amount of tax for the year looking at the "total for year" box but next to that it says "previous employment" pay: 4145.85 tax deducted: 225.00. Anyone know what this might be? I've been with the same company for around a year and eight months and was unemployed for a bit before that so I'm confused what this is.

It is exactly what it says, income from previous employment. Did the place your work for get taken over by a new company or something? Possibly a change of contracts?0

Ah ok we did take over someone else so it must be something to do with that. Thanks!0

Did the company name on your payslip change or something when that happened?0
