Why can't they just be straight with us?

Do they think they're doing us a favour by not telling us if they don't want to see us?

But they are doing you a favour. There are 3 kinds of men when it comes to delivering bad news:
    1. They just tell you.
    2. They avoid the issue by being distant.
    3. They'll just lie to you.

You can get a man to change from the first category to the second in a single incident of taking things badly. If you really go for it, you can get them to change from the second category to the third.

Of course if you're unlucky, its actually one of the ones before you that made them change. Getting them to change back is very very difficult.

First of all :T well done Spud, that is an amazing loss.

Basically I have sat in a conference for a full day which was full of people who all had fellow colleagues with them and not one person talked to me.

I sat on a table with 8 people at lunch and tried to strike up a conversation and was literally given a 1 word reply and then blanked.

I have never met a bunch of people who are so far up their own !!!!!! either....

I left an hour early as I couldnt stand the !!!!!! a minute longer.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
