The Compers Inn - Part 17

*stomps into the Inn in one hell of a rage!*
3 of my listings on eBay (the only 3 I've listed for a while) have been cancelled!! I am livid . Been a member for 9 years, played by the rules and they go and do that. All because I put 'no Paypal' for collection items only - which these items aren't!!
I have had it with eBay now. They don't care about the rules anymore just making money. They don't support the honest person selling/buying and don't stop other dodgy stuff which gets my goat. One email to ask me to take the wording out would have sufficed but nooooooo they can't do that! Argghhh.....I've sent off a stinking note to them stating I'm disgusted and will no longer be selling collection items as it's too much hastle and will rethink my stance on selling with them at all. If you're a seller you're already at risk of a chargeback as they always support the buyer in all cases. It's no longer just a little auction place, used to be fun but not now, not with all the rules in place.
I'm also sorry for the person who reported it, they must have no life.
End of rant, apologiesfor highjacking the thread....but it's really got my goat and I'm home alone so there's no-one to hear me rant!!
*walks out again a bit calmer....*:rotfl::AThank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

Eugh, I hate eBay with a passion. I have loads of things to sell, and have been told to try www.ibootsale.co.uk FYI this isn't a referral or anything; I don't have an account there yet anyway!!0
-
I hate ebay too - I mostly just use Amazon to sell my stuff now as most things that I sell are dvds/cds/books anyway. Not sure I'd bother trying to sell anything else as ebay just seems to have so many problems with it!2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
awww isitenough, I understand your frustration. Wow you have been a member for NINE years and they handle it like that! They get on my nerves...glad I changed my mind about creating an account there now...
iwanna, wow this is very exciting :T:D:D
Cogratulations to Bucks too, hopefully many more MSEs0 -
The best site I've ever sold books on is www.greenmetropolis.com (If anyone wants to see what I have for sale there, I have the same username there, without a space between the words).0

I hate ebay too, only sell on there as a last resort on there now. I used to make jewelley/clothes & hair accessories to sell on there but its just too much hassle now with all the rule changes/fees etc...Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

me too but now postage prices have gone up even more I'm going to have to look through them to see if I can still make any money!2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89

Good afternoon all - busy morning - had the dr's as i needed a note and she wanted to see me with regards to the depression thing.
My app was 10.20am but didn't get in til 11am (which i don't mind as sometimes it's me who is in there for a while)
Once i got in there i just broke down and told her the info that she gave to me could of being written by me. I told her i just wanted to hug her as i thought i was going mad and she is the only person inc the OH and my family who have understood me ( i know that's her job lol) so she stood up came over to me me and gave me a huge hug like i was her daughter - she was so good - i told her so and told her how much of a help she has been to me these past few months and how i don't think i would have coped if she wasn't my dr (which is true - my old dr retired last year and saw her once for something and knew straight away she was the dr for me after having my other dr since i was a baby (so 25 years)
Anyway sorry for the babbling - i have anti depressants. Also still have a sore bum from the steroid injection on wed and still have sore joints!!!
Hope you are all ok? Sorry again xxxxxFriends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -
To be honest, I do charge for postage on a fair few items, but I have a lot of unread or brand new stuff so I still offer a very good deal, eg a £12.99 recent release for £3 plus about £1.50 is still cheaper than you'll get it at Tesco etc...0

Thanks for the words guys. Doesn't help I'm hormonal (general depression caused by PMT) so that just hiked it up for me in the anger stakes!
I will only ever sell when I don't want to throw away but I'm going to rethink as it doesn't seem worth the hassle. There are still a lot of genuine buyers/sellers but they can be few and far between. Doesn't help I got the usual 'standard' eBay reply to me email which has relit the fire in me!
Oh well. I've relisted so if they sell they sell, if not, what a waste.
Any other PMT'ers out there at the moment?
Life isn't good generally anyway, although we do have a home and health so that is thankful, but the debt we have isn't any smaller so puts a lot of strain on things. At this time of the month my feelings don't help, I try to warn everyone in the house (OH and 2 kiddies) but I don't think they take me seriously! I'm just some loony who gets angry easier than normal! It's the only time when I think death might be an option. Not seriously you understand, but only thinking, as the insurance would pay off the debt. Is that normal? To start talking to 'him upstairs' and stuff? Or just me....Probably just me!
Anyways, I waffle too much...must get back to comping as with the weekend here I don't get time and get sooo behind with it.
ETa: Glad your doc is good for you Katie. Reading your stuff makes me realise how good I have it and should stop moaning. ((hugs for you and everyone))Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
