Claim back all loan amounts from 2004

Can I have some advice, was contacted by an individual who said he was from a claim company. (monster claims). He stated he could legally claim back Loans, credit cards, car loans and PPIs, Accident insurance back for me as long as they were taken out from 2001 - 2007. They had to be over £5000. Seemingly there is a flaw in the original documents and they could use these flaws to claim back the money from these loans etc.

I am sceptical??? He wanted £55 per loan claim, I think this is a scam and dont think they will get any money back. It seems too good to be true. One of my loans was a secured loan for £15000, cant see me getting all that back.

Anyone got any information or advice? Please.

He also kept quoting this web site as confirmation of his authenticity!

"If it sounds too good to be true it probably is". As has been said many times...

If the bloke is so confident he'll no doubt give you 'phone numbers of 3 customers, chosen at random, who paid their £55 pounds 3 months ago...

    Cheers!

  • there is something to what they are saying i.e. some credit agreements do not comply with the consumer credit act and are by law unenforceable. the date applies to a change in legislation and it is easier to litigate on loans pre apr 2007. the problem is, it DOESN'T apply to every loan and companies like these get paid either way. I posted previously on this subject because there are a couple of comapnies who will carry out the assessment free-of-charge see

My advice, if you want to get it checked DO NOT pay ANYTHING up-front
  • I have already started issuing standard letters requiring a original copy of my credit agreement, you have to send a pound and they have 12+2 days to supply this information. If they don't then the account goes into dispute. One you get the original signed copy then get it checked out to see if it isd enforceable if not you can dispute the debt and even take it to a small claims court I got all this information from an excellent web site forum "Consumer Action Group" which is the same as this one. Hope I am not intruding. There is a minefield of information on this subject.

    Thanks
