Just booked a return night crossing for 7 days in August for car and 4 people. Total cost £123 ( £8 fuel surchase per passenger) normally this would cost in the region of £500 !! Brilliant spot.

possibly a stupid question. Do you need a passport to travel to dublin or isle of man etc...

    Hi,
We travelled with this company about 2 weeks ago. Norfolkline now run the sailing to dublin from Birkenhead. Going there was dreadfull. We travelled on the day sailing. The ferry was delayed for two hours and the food was nasty. My little boy never eaten a thing. However, the staff were really nice and said they usually had better food than this but because of the delay they didnt have enough time to bring all the food on the ferry. They let us in the cinema for free (usually costs £4.50)

Coming back from Dublin the food was a bit better but not much. We couldn't eat a thing. We travelled on the night sailing coming back and had a dinner and a breakfast.

However, i would travel with them again because they were dirt cheap but for anyone who has children i would advise them to bring there own food and lots of toys!! 8 hours on a boat is a long time for anyone.
