Hi all
First off I know barely anything about mortgages, although I have a flat at the mo that I have a fixed IO only on. I am thinking of selling and buying a smaller place with OH.( hes a ftb)
Weve worked out what we expect we wil get mortgaged for and theres about 10k equity here, and we are now considering best sort of mortgage. As we are going for a one bed flat, we reckon it HAS to be repayment as theres not much chance of the property gaining that much value.
I want a mortgage then thats fixed ( ie we know what we have top pay every month) but we can pverpay wildly whenever we please! Does such a thing exist. Also we want it as cheap as poss!
Im loking at all the comparison sites and TBH they are all a baffle. We should probably see a broker, but we dont reckon theres much point yet as we may then get an in principle offer , not take it as we are not yet ready to move and then throw our credit rating down, and its precarious as it is!!

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
