On April 4, 2009, Suitehotel will launch the Suite Jump Games, the largest international bedjumping contest ever held. Scheduled to run through September 30, the contest invites
participants to deploy their creative skills, with the goal of winning the prize for the best bedjumping photograph. It is organized in partnership with myPIX.com, the European leader in online photo printing and gift personalization with photos.
To take part in the Suite Jump Games, contestants simply get a digital camera, throw themselves onto a bed in the most original position possible, and snap a picture. They then upload the photos to the suitejump.com or mypix.com website and wait to see if their picture gets the most votes. The idea is to have fun, regardless of the surroundings.
The April 4 launch of the Suite Jump Games will be held at the Stade de France sports stadium near Paris, where a rugby match is scheduled between Stade Français and Clermont-Ferrand. Five villages will be installed in front of the stadium and equipped with beds for any of the 80,000 spectators expected to attend the match who want to take part in the contest.
Every week through September 30, a €50 gift voucher will be given to the participant whose pictures have received the most votes. A random drawing will then select three prizewinners from among the weekly victors. The grand prize winner will receive a €2,000 gift certificate that can be redeemed for airline tickets to be used whenever and to whatever destination the person chooses, with no expiration date. The second and third-place contestants each win a seven-night stay for two people in the Suitehotel of their choice. Prizewinners will be announced between October 1 and 7, 2009 on the suitejump.com and mypix.com websites.
