Hi all.
Title says it all really. I want to bulk buy Muller rice when tescos have them on offer as they don't have them on offer very often.
I have looked on some pots I have already and it doesn't say you can't freeze them but it doesn't say you can either.
I have googled and found this....
Can I freeze Müller® Yogurt?
Frozen dairy products for example ice cream tend to contain air, which softens the texture. As yogurt does not contain air, it is not really suitable for freezing as the lack of air makes frozen yogurt very hard and brittle therefore difficult to eat.
We do not recommend that you freeze your yogurt as this will lead to a poorer yogurt quality when it is defrosted. As the yogurt defrosts some of the natural water within the yogurt separates out into a watery layer, which doesn’t taste very nice.
would the same apply to the rice they do?.....but a part of me thinks they only say that so that people will buy them fresh...thus having to buy regularly....rather than freezing when on offer so not buying weekly/fortnightly etc
So has anyone frozen the Muller rice and was it ok on defrosting?
Thanks

I have no idea but i guess the only way to find out it is to freeze one, defrost it and try - then at least if is only 1 its not too much of a wastePeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I did think of freezing one myself but they are sooo scrummy I hate the thought of even one going to waste if it turns out gross :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
If something is suitable for freezing it says so on the package. Though as rachbc says try freezing one to see what it is like. I buy these on offer too but they don't even outlast the fridge date with the gannets in my house.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
