Any one got any recommendations for parking @ the Jewellery Quarter?
Are there any park and ride schemes?
Are there any free parking zones?
Wheres the cheapest place to park?
Don't mind a bit of a walk...
Thanks in advance

As far as I remember it is all metered on street parking in the jewellery quarter.
I live in Birmingham and am not aware of any park and ride schemes either:rolleyes: Where are you coming from? You could go in on the train and pick up the metro from Snow Hill as that will drop you off in Hockley (where the jewellery quarter is). Otherwise its a day saver ticket on the bus £3.30 each but you can hop on and off buses all day.0 -
Hiya
Yes its is all street metered parking and theres lots of it.
There are loads and loads of shops so make sure you get a good few hours on the meter.
I hated it because there was just to much to choose from, I ended up going back to my local village jewellers!
Cant please some people can ya :rolleyes:0 -
yes it is metered street parking but the above poster is right that u can get on the metro at snow hill and it takes u right there. theres also a mutli storey car park at snow hill station where u can park, it might be cheaper than on the street but then u have to pay for the tram ticket anyway or walk if the weathers nice! snow hill is in the city centre so u can look at the shops there too while you're there if you fancy it.What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

There is a huge multi storey on Vyse Street (the middle of the main street). I think it was £1 for 2 hours parking. It's quite reasonable.0

Thanks Aimee - I had forgotten about the multi storey car park and to think I used to get my baked spud from the man who used to have his barrow right outside it:rolleyes:0

aimee - the spud man was there in the 1990's. The chippy used to be a sandwich shop affectionately known as Uncle's but he retired and the shop became the chippy. I used to work for a company based in the Argent Centre on Frederick Street and used to wander about the Quarter all the time:cool:0

I've parked there before. It's easy to find (well sign posted) and was cheaper than parking on the street. Can't remember the exact pricing though......Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0
