Please can anyone give me advice about this company, they are getting paid, not the full amount but monthly payments without fail due to the current circumstances.
But they are seriously harrassing me to the point now where my mother-in-law who was babysitting for me today has had a disgusting frightening call threatening that I will be charged £50.00 as someone was coming out to see me to discuss my account when I am not here!?????
They are ringing every day...they have already been out to my home again when I was working and my m-i-law told me what this girl has said and I was FURIOUS!
Yes I owe the money and I am not disputing this, but where would i stand getting the police involved in this calling at my door/shocking phone calls???
Please help as I am sure I am due a visit again from them, and I am really really scared x

Hi
I haver to head off but sthe starting points are
1. They should not discuss your debts with MIL as this is in breach of the Data Protection Act.
2. You need to send the telephone letter to informa them at all telephone contact has to cease and they must remove your tyelelphone numbers.
3. You can remove their common law right to visit you, and even if they come they have no rights whatsoever.
4. Reclaim any charges that are not listed in the T&Cs and any that might be construed as unfair.
5. Reprot them to the OFT and trading Standards. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

You need to send a Harrassment letter advising that you do not wish to receive any further telephone calls or doorstep visits. I don't know if there's a template somewhere on the forum.
Secondly, I would advise you send a Subject Access Request to find out what notes, charges etc are on your account, as they charge for each visit and call. Once you get this, you should request that they remove them from your account as you have an arrangement already.0 -
Thanks Sol00, I have found the harassment letters which I have printed off and am now off to send.
Thank you.0 -

oooooh the evil unwelcome finance. They are not allowed to harass you see http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=03_harassment.
I am on a debt management programme and i too pay them a reduced amount each month in order to clear the debt. Do you have the agreement in writing? If not i would suggest following this link and getting it official. Get yourself on an official payment agreement then they can b****er off http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/pdf/self_help_pack/workingout_pbs.pdf
I would also recommend looking closely at your credit agreements with them. I had 5 loans from 2003-2005 with them every single one had huge amounts of PPI added at 40+% interest all of which i am reclaiming because it was useless therefore miss sold. There are loads of tools on this site advising how to reclaim PPI if it applies to you and lots of experts on hand. I have gone through the rigmorall with Welcome finance and will happily assist you in kicking their a*** it will be a pleasue lol
CheersMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

you really should try to get interest frozen if the period of struggle is over a few month otherwise you will find you are just treading water and not paying anything off the balance. Get the payment agreement in writing and ask if they will freeze interest and charges during this time. The National Debt helpline website explains all. If i can help with letters etc give me shout
