Looking to travel to scotland by car or van and return with several large objects. Plane might be an option but how much is it likely to cost me to go and come back with the stuff. So folks have you done something similar or have experience of this journey.
If so which company should i use ?
Where should i sail from ?
What the difference between car and a van for travelling ?

I travel regularly and find that Stena is consistantly cheaper than P&O. They sail from Belfast. You can get quotes from both P&O and Stena using their websites.
Downside for Stena in the winter is that their fast ferry can be cancelled if the weather is bad, although they sometimes use their conventional ferry if this happens. Last time it happened to me they sent us to Larne and we crossed on the P&O ferry.Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0
