hair and make up

hi there im looking for someone to do my hair and make up for the big day.
i was wondering if anyone could recommend anyone, i am hopeless with make -up and ive tried doing my own hair how i would like it on the day but i just cant mange to do it.
we are getting married on the 8th october 09 in the holiday inn and would prefer someone who could come to the hotel to do it but would go to them if it was cheaper.
we are on a really tight budget and with less than 6 month to organise everything im getting a little stressed out.
would love to hear from anyone who could help me with this
thank you in advance

The holiday inn is a chain and it is everywhere. Can you tell us a location so if we're local we can offer suggestions?

Someone recommended a partner of lovehair.co.uk to me, and they're local to you.

I had a nightmare with my hairdresser - five days before, she cancelled because of a commitment she'd known about when she took the booking. I went to my replacement (her daughter went into labour so she couldn't), but she got me a replacement replacement (turned out to be on maternity leave and too pregnant to reach my head), then my mother's hairdresser who couldn't do it but who said she had a friend who could (who couldn't). In the end my regular hairdresser, who was booked during the time frame we needed, came into work early and put up my hair while her prebooked appointment was having hers washed and a (very long - I paid off the hair washing girl) head massage.

If you're on a budget, try the local beauty college. One of them might want to do it - good practice, cheap and so long as you have a trial and a bit of time it'll turn out fine.

I know someone who does bridal make up for £60 (that is how much she charged me and she is a good friend of my bro but her prices should be in that region if not 60 quid). She is great!. She does styling as well (£20 and up depending). PM me if interested?
