    i was lucky enough to get a proof copy of this book a few months back

    an excellent read, dealing with some tough issues, but is essentially the story of a young girl who feels responsible for the near death of her baby brother after he is attacked by his drunken father

    it deals with her upbringing on a rough estate, and the effects of heroin addiction and crime on the estate

    hard-hitting, but difficult to put down.... i can thoroughly recommend this
    see a pin and pick it up, and all that day you'll have a pin
