Self defence class in belfast?

Hello!

Anyone know of any self defence classes in Belfast?

I'm a guy and work really early shifts or finish late at night and would to learn some self defence to put my mind at ease when I'm walking home.

hi, if you are really interested in self defence go to this site "jujitsu ireland" there is probably a class to suit you at some leisure centre, and the instructors are very helpful and not patronising in anyway and the classes are good.

I've just started Krav Maga. I'd hate to be in an attacker's shoes after coming face to face with someone trained in this haha It seems pretty brutal. Here's a link to the website with the instructor's name and number. He runs a few courses during the week in Newtownabbey and Holywood.

We had someone give an evening class at a police station! He is a self defence trainer. He was excellent and it never cost us a cent.

He said that what private self defence classes teach you through weeks, all we needed to know was taught in an evening. :rolleyes: Plus they charge a fortune.

The moves he taught us were so simple, yet so effective. I didn't know I could push a 15st dummy! (no, not my husband.....:D)

Find out from your local police station if there is someone who gives classes and perhaps get a group of you together.

Would recommend Krav Maga, its simple but effective. Plenty of clips on youtube if you want to check it out. It's the weapon of choice for the Israeli armed forces.
