My feet are drivng me mad. My right foot =8.5, left =8. Size 42 eu/8 uk are too small for the right foot. Size 43eu/9 uk are too big especially for my left foot which just walks out of them. Even insoles don't work for the left foot.
I really struggle to find anything at all. Combine that with having foot health problems (flat foot type thing) and needing to buy sensible lace ups and it's driving me doubly mad.
Most eg ecco 42s don't fit although I have had the odd style of trainer type shoes from there which have been tolerable although still a little uncomfortable for the right foot. I have tried stretching shoes but with out much success and am loathe to buy an expensive pair and then fail to get them to the right size.
I've been looking at proper trainers (running shoes) which do come in ladies 8.5 but I hate the look of them. I may just have to get them.
This is the only pair of 8.5 actual shoes I can find!

£109!!! Now if they fit (I'm worried the c/d width size might be too narrow) I think it would be worth it. But I really just don't think I could get away with the sand colour - wear black trousers often. I could get the black ones for winter.
Blimey if could afford custom made shoes I would get them. But anyway, does anybody else know somewhere I could get 8.5s? Or maybe a brand of shoe where the 9s seem particularly small?
If there's a market for ladies 8.5 running shoes I don't see why there shouldn't be for proper shoes.

Might be worth contacting these people http://www.lovethoseshoes.com/default.asp - I don't have your problems but they are very friendly and helpful.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Thank you. That's great - I've had a quick look and they do some 8.5s so hopefully I'll find something.0

You can do a search on Amazon for shoes in particular sizes - go to Amazon - then click on the shoes & accessories link, then click on womens, then shoes then down the left hand side it should show you sizes - and 8.5 is definitely there! When I look there were 534 shoes available in a size 8.5 - so there is hope! :-)

In particular how about these? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Puma-Womens-Dapper-Silver-Vaporous-182917-07/dp/B001QTWNWW/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1240519696&sr=1-250 -
Isn't that because your feet swell if you run a lot, so the extra 0.5 is so you don't get blisters as much? Or am I thinking too laterally (I do that a lot, such as reading this thread's title, and assuming someone wanted to buy a woman's foot)? If there's a market for ladies 8.5 running shoes I don't see why there shouldn't be for proper shoes.

Hi
Have you looked at Wider Fit Shoes at widerfitshoes.co.uk?
They have a wide range of different width fitting shoes from EE to EEEEEEEE and the catalogue comes with its own foot measuring guide for their range of shoes so you may find their shoes fit you. They have lots of comfortable shoes including laceups. Free returns for mailorder. Also have a special shoe fitting shop in Rushden, Northants open certain days but this may not be possible to get to from where you live but I can highly recommend them!0
