Carn't open pages + clicking noise, Help!

Hi, god knows what i've done but i carn't open links now in a new page, i can open my homepage from the IE bar but not from websites and computer now keeps clicking, sounds like it's opening pages but i have no pages open and no programs running.
Checked my applications page and nothing showing there. computers only a month old, Help please!!!

    Have you run any Adware programs yet or got any Anti virus running

    i've got AVG free, norton and mircosoft anti-spyware. i have to hold down the ctrl button when opening pages but for some reason all of a sudden when i open pages it's just a plank screen with no address or nothing loading up?

    Have you tried turning off the pop up tool ..sometimes this stops you from seeing webpages..try disabling it on all of your applications.

    may be the problem

    Id also be tempted to remove one of your virus programs as running two together can cause conflicts.

    What scoot1on1 says is correct. You have, apparently, two antivirus packages running simultaneously. Likely outcome is that one will cancel out the other leaving you with no effective AV at all. Stop one of them.

    That clicking noise could - as has been alluded to - mean that something nasty has got on to your computer or that your hard drive is dying (yes, I saw that it's a new computer).

    If possible you should try as much as you can of the first 4 posts to this thread on the malfunctioning computer ....

    If all else fails post a HJT log to this thread and we'll give you more advice if it reveals anything bad.

    Thanks for the replys, i looked on your link scoot1on1 and done as it said and restarted computer and touch wood it seems too of done the trick, the clickings stops and pages open now. Thanks for the help guys! :j
