Marks and Spencers outlet stores query?

Thinking of visiting the one at Dalton Park, have never been before. Are the outlet stores any different to the regular stores or do they sell old stock at discount price?....cheers
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D

outlet in South Wales tends to sell older stock as well as staples like undies, bras nighties.limited to what they have at time so dont set your heart on say buying for little boy as may only have girls stuff. Also get things like bedding towels toiletries and jewellery-at good prices all of it so ideal for gifts etc. They have changing rooms and it is worth trying on as returns are to the outlet and not ordinary stores .i have had some nice classic bargains in towelling and underwear
:j this money saving is such fun:T

I dont tend to go to M&S in town, only used the outlet one so not totally sure wether its old stock, but the stuff they do sell is discounted. You can get some great deals, like last time I was at Dalton Park a £9.99 bra I got reduced down to 99p that was classed as a section reduction and they just wanted rid of the stock. I suppose its kind being in the right place at the right time, if you hit lucky you can get even better bargains.
Dalton Park has quite a few other outlet shops so well worth a look.

I dont know where you are but there is now an outlet in Redcar also, not as big as Dalton Park but if you are this area then worth a pop in, its in the high street with all the other shops.

Hiya its my local one too, Its all old M&S stock from the last year-2 years or so, prices are cheaper than the M&S stores but not as cheap as the prices when normal M&S have their sales, worth a look but i don't go in that often, Its worth a visit to Dewhirst factory shop on your way to Dalton Park its at Peterlee they sell M&S supposedly seconds but sometimes can't see the faullts, they are now selling Monsoon Too, Th factory shop is off the Peterlee turnoff go straight across roundabout pass caterpillar on left and Dewhirst is on your right.

Then when shopped there, turn left out of Dewhirst left at the roundabout and carry onto Dalton park about 2 exits later

If you like Gap there is a great Gap Outlet at Dalton Park and 30% off from tomorrow , see Martins post on the right hand side coloumns Hope this helps

The amount of times I've been to Redcar and I've never noticed the outlet, is it new? haven't been to redcar this year but got told it's becoming a ghost town....I'm from Darlington, same as you if I remember rightly?

Its in the same place as the normal M&S was, up near Boots. I was there the other week and noticed it had changed to an outlet. Redcar has gone rather quiet, but its a look out and I like sitting on the sea front stuffing my face with chips with scraps on .......followed by a lemon top :D

I thought you were local to me, but by the time I realised id posted :o

I have two in my area (v.lucky and pleased with this fact) but the prices are only really about 20 or 30% cheaper then store prices, and anything up to 5 years old (because I recognise stuff I had or wanted from them when it was being sold at full price). Underware is good, with a buy-one-get-one-half-price and such offers on the 5 packs of underware. Bras are around 30% off, some are 50% but its like you look at it, and realise why its 50% off iykwim.

I like M&S outlet stores but its definitely down to your luck on the day you visit. Last time I was in my local at the Forge , Glasgow they were having a sale when the normal M&S store was, so alot of stuff was further reduced. You can find real bargains in the clearance area of the store but its just odd pieces and you need to have a good old rummage and elbow your way in there!! As for kids stuff, I used to find it really good but since Xmas my local does not seem to have kids clothes section any more. They only seem to have schoolwear at the moment. You might find the odd item of kidswear in the clearance dept as I found a t-shirt for a couple of quid for my dd. I personally like M&S clearance for the Per Una jeans as they are only 15 quid, and the cheaper underwear. Bring back the kidswear section in my local clearance please!!!!

Just something to bear in mind........if you have to return any items, unlike Next Clearance, at M&S you must return back to their clearance stores, not the high street shops. :)

But unlike Next Clearance the M&S Clearance stores have fitting rooms so at least you can try on.

Remember its 35 days to return items now with your receipt at all M&S including Clearance stores.
