I can see the point for hamsters and mice and what-not, but if I introduced my Salem to that he'd look at me like I'd gone potty! My bed's far to comfy for him to swap! Do people really use this type of bedding for their dogs and cats?
Incidently, the cat on the dog/cat page looks just like my Salem! Funny how black cats all look alike, isn't it?0 -

Seriously? Oh well, goes to show doesn't it?! I've never put my cat in a cattery (never been away!) so I always thought they provided proper bedding. Thanks for enlightening me!

Kennelled animals often chew up their bedding out of anxiety. At least with paper filling, they are less likely to choke themselves. And since you throw it away, no worry about transferring germs (or fleas! ) between animals.

Thanks for the link, my Mums got six cats and they all laze about in cardboard boxes dotted around the house, so they might appreciate this
No prices on the site tho' - it'll be interesting to see how much they sell it for. 0 -

When I was planing to move down south I e-mailed my local Cats Protection chappie and he recommended a cat sitter. I never used her because I didn't go house hunting after all, but I reckon it's the best way to go. I remember when I was younger we put our dog in a kennel for about a week while we went on holiday and he came out in a terrible state. Mum swore she'd never do it again...and she didn't! Just put me off the whole idea of leaving any animal in a kennel/cattery. *Shivers*0
