Hi,
I've been lurking on the boards for ages but took a while to get the nerve up to post. I was wondering if anyone has the easiyo yoghurt maker and uses the sachets? I am using up the ones I have before i go on to making it myself.
However, no matter what I do the yoghurt always seems to be grainy/lumpy. It sets ok but when I spoon it out it has small lumps in it. When I have made it myself if was much smoother and creamy so I get the impression I am doing something wrong.
It isn't so bad with the flavoured sachets (which my DH eats) but the slimmers one looks really offputting. Would anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I make easiyo all the time and yes the skimmers is a bit on the lumpy side, I find if you mix is briskly just after you take it out of the flask with a wooden spoon (purely for length purposes) it gets rid of the lumps and makes it thicker. I give it a really good old whisk with the spoon, then refrigerate and then hey presto smooth as a smooth thing. I have been told that it's basically the cultures clumping together, which stops when refrigerated because the cultures more or less stop doing their thing in cool places. Anyway it works for me. Hope that helps.

I haven't tried the slimmers one yet, but this isn't a problem I've come across with the others.
We're currently enjoying the boysenberry flavour. I wasn't keen on the greek mix. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Hi,
Many thanks for the replies. I'm sort of relieved it wasn't just me who found the slimmers one a bit lumpy! I'll give it a go with the wooden spoon when I make the next batch and see what it does.
Thanks for the help!0
