ok, how about veggie curry? add chopped up potatos, chickpeas, normal peas, chopped peppers, chopped onions and of course some spices! i tend to use ground turmeric, cumin, a little chilli powder, some garlic, maybe a tiny bit of ginger, and then add some water and a stock cube, easy delish takes minutes to make and is low cal
can easily be amended to add prawns, chicken, what ever you like and if you change the spices around you can get a lot of different dishes.
pm me if you want some low fat recipes, i have loads from doing WW

Do you like raw veg? Add carrot, spring onion, beansprouts & mange tout to cold cooked noodles & make a dressing with thai fish sauce, chopped chilli, crushed garlic, black pepper, veg oil, lime juice & a tiny bit of sugar. You can marinade chicken or fish in the same dressing too.
Go for "dry" pasta dishes as opposed to smothered in sauce. My current favourite is sausage meatball pasta. Skin good quality high meat content sausages & break into 3-4 "meatballs". Cook the sausage meatballs with a sliced onion & add a big spoonful of sundried tomato paste. Once it's all cooked add a bag of spinach leaves and wilt, then stir in cooked pasta shapes. I also put pine nuts in it, but you don't like nuts.
For puds make up sugar free jelly or get some lolly moulds & make your own ice lollies with sugar free squash. For a non-old style version lemonade sparkle ice lollies are fat free & only about 53 calories each.0 -

I would recommend finding a Rosemary Conley cookbook in the library. They really are the best for low fat family meals.0

Hiya
Good idea Onetomany i was just thinking the same thing i would like some lower fat ideas that are still tasty, the veggy curry sounds nice might add prawns for my meatloving OH.
Pasta cooked and stirred with a tin of chopped tomatoes and herbs is a nice quick, cheap low fat meal.
Sardines in tomato sauce and brown bread was recommended to me as it is high in good fats and fibre but low in bad fats(i personally like sardines on toast).
Am sick of the usual chicken breast ideas sorry but i want a tastier meal than a grilled chick breast and green beans(yuk).
Make a nice fruit salad for desert or those weird banana ice lollies lol(frozen banana).
What about a baked potato and baked beans....
am thinking now lol shows how many i know ...0 -
great keep them coming im gonna keep a note of them!0
