Yeah. Nearly everything else is the same.

Look out for the new monster munch individual packs which claim to be the old bigger size pointing out from the 70's.

I have seen the new/old packs and they are definitely bigger and the same size as the 70's ones. I love the pickled onion and roast beef ones ;)

I bought a packet of club biscuits the other day, half price at Morrisons. The chocolate had been sprayed on as thin as a coat of paint.

What happened to "If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit, join our club"?

For those who like Penguins, have you tried the Tesco Value chocolate sandwich biscuits? I think they're just as nice and they're only 59c for 20 (probably even less in sterling). The chocolate wafers are nice too.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Same with wagon wheels. Used to be massive in the 70's. Now should be called scooter wheels!:rotfl:

  • oooh and sainsbury's also do a chocolate orange penguin type biscuit and are a good price, and really scrummy.

I agree that the penguins are getting smaller as are lots of other products these days, shame it is not reflected in the price.

Again same with those crisps that say 10p on the bag. Still 10p but less than half the amount in now, lol.

    The years starts today ....
  • Is it the biscuit that got smaller or you that got bigger?

ps have noticed same with creme eggs and wham bars.

Are you sure with some things it's not just when your smaller everything seems bigger as you yourself are smaller. (sorry if that doesn't make sense).

I know some things are intentionally getting smaller - so they can be less than 100 calories and advertise the fact they are less calories. I think the new 99 calorie toffee crisps. It's a chocolaty treat without the guilt!

Saying that Penguin bars have gotten smaller, but own brand ones have stayed the same!
