Can i make a claim through the courts for missed child maintenance payments.

Between 2002 - 2004 my ex-husband didn't pay any child maintenance for our two children. The claim was initially being dealt with by the Toothless CSA under the old system. My decree absolute went through in December 2003 and I had given up with the CSA and secured child maintenance during the fincancial side of the divorce settlement which ended in 2004 . I was owed over £8000 in missed payments
which was never included in the divorce settlement. Not long after the divorce settlement I was contacted by the CSA and was asked if I wanted them to continue with my case. I was just glad I was being paid regularly now and told them to close the case as I didn't want the hassle.
Am I still entitled to pursue a claim for those missed payments through the small claims court or have I missed the opportunity?

I shouldn't think you can, but as they can never write off a debt you may stand a chance!0
