there's a guide to the adult side of brighton with a voucher for free !!!!!! if you take it to the shop on the map.

can't remember the name of the book but it had a lady mouth licking a lolly on the front.

The museum is free? One in Brighton (museum and art gallery), the Booth Museum and apparently one in Hove I haven't been to yet.
    The library
Lots of parks - take a picnic
Stand up the top of wilsons Avenue and watch the horses run past for the races?
Occasionally the Pavilion used to do a free entry day for residents.

You must have missed the even down the seafront on Saturday - they were giving awards to the nicest coach and smartest coach driver :rotfl:
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

You definitely need to wonder around The Lanes - great atmosphere and some wonderful shops that you just don't get anywhere else. I used to spend ages just wandering in there. If you do could you let me know if the leather shop is still there (you'll know it if you see it!).

Another great thing is a stroll along the beach, but take sturdy shoes! One time we were down there and the Red Arrows came over and did a surprise display!

If you can get there go down to Seaford, a great little place with some wonderful walks.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • I think the OP knows about the Lanes etc. given their username - well, I would assume so, anyway!

The Pavilions normally have a short period each autumn where residents can get in for free- you have to take a utility bill that shows you're in bn1, 2 or 3, I think. Might say something on the website.

There are lots of national trust places round sussex, and if quidco are still doing the offer, a year's membership works out almost free.

Kipling gardens in Rottingdean is very pretty for a picnic, and there's a free art gallery nearby as well. There's the obvious sites like beach, pier, pavilion gardens and libraries as well.

Cineworld at the Marina are taking the cinema pouch promo tickets if you took advantage of the offer before closing date (buying 8 bags of maltesers etc), and there are loads of restaurants which take tesco clubcard deals vouchers - strada, cafe rouge, pizza express, tootsies etc.

Lurk around churchill square donning various disguises to get multiple free samples - I got 4 lindor the other day by quickly dashing between promo staff before they noticed I was getting one from each :p if my husband hadn't been there to restrain me, I would have mugged them for the whole baskets. MMmmmm...

What about offering to help out at the fringe festival or the thing they do at devils dyke? you get to watch acts for free by volunteering.

    Anyway, hope that helps!
