Ours simply stopped on Sunday and as it out of warranty now (of course!) we will have to replace it.
It's a Thompson and has been very odd from the start (freezing/deleting things of its own volition etc) so we don't want another one of those.
Anyone recently bought one they can recommend?
Thanks

I use a Humax - pretty reliable, well-designed etc. Start from about £130 I think, with twin tuner and 160gb drive - more if you want them with HDMI, bigger drive, and so forth.
You can get other brands quite a lot cheaper - but if you're budgeting for £100+, I'd recommend a humax.0 -
The Humax website do refurbs a little cheaper or there is a Digihome one from tesco with 250gb hard drive which is ok.
