Lost my job - help please!

Yesterday i was told that i have no job frmo my boss. i have a week left to work but they will be paying me for another month plus my expenses.

i have a few questions im not sure about and sorry if this isnt the right section on the forum.

i also have just taken another job with PC world which is out of hours and a second job. lucky i have at least something to bring in some money. the second job wont pay the bills though.

im not sure what happens next with regards to the mortgage lenders. my lenders are halifax, at the time of taking out the mortgage and setting up my insurances i was only full time perm staff. now my circumstances have changed and im wondering if they will still pay out, or even if this will void my insurance.

secondly, does anybody know how they will pay me, if they pay me. a friend has told me that hes has the lenders give him £1300 a month (not sure if thats his mortgage or including all his bills). whether he spends it on paying his mortgage or not , he gets the money. this may be different with other lenders.

but please, any help at all? ive never been through any of this before. i assume my first step would be to ring halifax next week once i am no longer working?

Thanks

Mike

Ring the halifax straight away Mike, the ins and outs of their policy would be best explained by them.

There could be differing waiting periods before you can claim, ie 30 days, 3 months, 6 months etc so you would be best to get this information "from the horses mouth" so to speak.

    good luck
