here we go - Little Miss Clumsy goes to cake class!! It is lemon and orange flavoured.
I would like to point out that I haven't eaten all the missing cake- we had a slice each last night and Ihad a slice this morning and I did 3 slices in a tub for OH to take home. It has to be kept in the fridge and I don't think it will last long - so it needs eating

Made some butter icing to cover them with and we layered the cakes with lemon curd and butter icing. We made orange strands and some sugar shards and plonked (that's about as technical as I can get with my level of knowledge!) on top. It kind of looks like someone has broken a brown beer bottle and chucked the glass on top!
Next week we are making a chocolate box cake, the cake will be made into a box with fondant, filled with choccies and then a lid made. Apparently
THAT RULES ME OUT THEN!!!
I couldn't make the cake, let alone ice the thing! fairy cakes come in packet mixes when i do baking with erin!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
you would have been fine Maz - you could have made a couple with the packet mixes, or bought a couple, it didn't matter. The one next week? I'm taking a box of the Value chocolates for 99p rather than anything more expensive like Milk Tray etc. It's just about having a go really.

It is a lovely place and house. We go every 2 or three years. We use Waddow Hall at Clitheroe too. Lancs. Went to Wales last year.
