are you a dole dosser that wants to live off us that do work and make a life for ourselves?

Two pieces of friendly advice to you, as you are a newcomer.

At the side of the page you can read this
"Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps."

Furthermore as a newcomer you are not allowed to post links or email address.

I missed the vandcmarketing post though it looks like it got pretty nasty and grubby.
Id just like to say that Im a well educated person who wasnt born yesterday and I took up with an MLM.
    I take exception to MLM=Scam.
Some may well be and there are certainly most I wouldnt touch with someone elses barge pole.
When I looked in to the company that I joined, I made an assesment of what they were offering and what I could earn from the business and concluded that my initial small setting up cost probably only just covered the companys costs to set me up.
Nothings for free in this world, why is it in the top guys at Avon, Kleeneze, Betterwares interests to 'give away' a start up?
I know for a fact I make more money on just flat retailing than these guys pay % wise, so are they doing the distributors a favour giving free catalogues to get them started?
From what I know they calculate that the risk is worth the gain they make in paying out smaller commissions to their distributors.
Risk and reward, Id risk setting up distributors in 'free' catalogues for the reward that a few of them could make a business for themselves out of it, and a whole heap more commision for me!

It all depends what skills you have I suppose, and what you fancy doing - from my signature you can see I sell avon lol and I enjoy doing it, fits nicely alongside my full time job. Tried kleeneze at the start of last year - but didn't work for us.

What I'd suggest is - if you are wanting to go with a party plan company, or a direct selling company like avon/kleeneze etc is to research it fully and check into any hidden costs so that you can work out how much you would have to sell before you made a profit. There is a website that shows you a comparison of various companies, but for the life of me I can't find it!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

Your not allowed to post links for personal gain whatever your status. Except in the referrers section and always declare any interest.

You could try looking at work as a paid blogger, ive seen a few of them around though not sure how much you'll make? Worth a shot maybe
  • Have you thought about becoming a Party Plan Consultant. I work for Vie at Home on a Part Time basis and I am my own boss and I earn around £50 minimum per party. The times are flexible when you work and you can earn as much or as little as you want and there is no sales targets that have to be met. Any questions please feel free to drop me a line.
  • Its not exactly glamourous but what about house cleaning? pays normally £7-8 an hour.

I do a 2nd job cleaning private houses, most clients are pretty flexible with hours, so I fit around my shift work main job. I also interview cleaners for a company for a fixed fee, is not a huge income but certainly tops up the piggy bank :)
I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Trying to find a work life balance...:rotfl:
