Would it be worth doing now fulltime?

It's difficult to start from scratch. The key to being successful is having a steady flow of leads and a large client bank.
You also need your clients to trust and believe you ( rather than the pub expert).

Me too. Perhaps a year ago, but not now

As the post was aimed at career advice I was taking that line. Up until May/June2008 the best deals could only be arranged by brokers. Up until August brokers could not match some of the over the counter deals. In September some exclusive deals came back on the market (mainly high equity) and the tide has sterted to turn once again in favour of the brokers.

Until first time buyers can afford homes and downsizers accept that they can't get the same price as last year the market will stagnate. The lenders will be encouraged to help first time buyers by the government to get things moving in the right direction again by April 2009 but it is still a few years before a decent market will exist.

All it will take is the BBC to tell everyone that the housing market is booming and people will start to move again.:j

There are hardly any mortgage jobs out there anymore. But plenty of Financial Adviser jobs.
