would a ten year fix at 4.75 be sensible as we only have 10 yrs left on mortgage.

to be honest totally depends as the current sitauation is a so-so, my advice would be, its up to you, but double think about anything first.

I *think* Britannia are offering a 10 year fix at 4.59%.
  • it serpently sounds good but i'd ask about what happens if you had to move. or can you overpay? or what fees are needed to set it all up.

    Hi,

Could anyone confirm the above 10 year rate/ provide link?

on their website all I can find is 5% 10 year fix with LTV @ 40%

    Sorry to be off topic:o
  • If Brittania are offering 4.59% over 10 years, then unless I'm missing a trick its not on their website. Best 10 year for an LTV of 75% is 5.19%

Unless it's been withdrawn? I rang them a few weeks ago to ask about 5 year fixed rates, and they offered me a 5 year fix at 4.59% or the same rate over 10 years. I was only looking for a 5 year deal so I didn't pay much attention but I did write down the rate. This was only within the last 2/3 weeks but I know things are changing all the time so maybe it's gone now. If that's the case I apologise for muddying the waters - but it still may be worth a phone call to check.
