I hope this is the right room to post this in. (sorry if it isn't)

On Friday 17th April I bought a Nintendo DSi with the discount code ZG754, total price £119.77. It was dispatched on the same day and has now arrived but the receipt does not show the discount code instead it has the full price of the product, however the order conformation e-mail does show the discount and the £119.77 price. However I checked on my online banking statement today and the £30 has not been deposited into my account. So I contacted customer service via e-mail asking whether the promotional code had worked and the response was:

Thanks for contacting us about the promotion you received.

I am pleased to confirm that I have adjusted your account for you and you will see this on your card within the next 5-7 days.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and look forward to you shopping online with us again soon.

Can anybody tell me whether I will receive the £30 credit or not? , because I need to know whether to return the product for a refund.

I got this email today and was looking on the site for ages for something i liked (not got the best clothes and things just now in my opinion) but then i went back to email and notticed that its for over the phone only and not online...

I gave up. If they would have made the code to work over the internet i would have placed my order, but i gave up with the phone, was waiting too long. Oh well, their daft rule has lost them an order.

i tried to use this code a few weeks ago to buy a phone with them. i rang them up because it wouldnt work online (as above!) and they told me that to get the £30 off i would be charged the full amount and then 7-14 days later my bank card would be refunded with £30! why would they do it like this?! pointless why cant i just have my discount now?! haha!

Like z1985m said above they lost a sale!!

Just worked for me. I got the same offer sent to me with Marshall Ward but the code didn't work, now I'll order from here. Thanks

i had a different code to that. hmmm i think i'm just gonna leave it anyway, it took me ages trying to pick stuff yesterday and i wasn't even that bothered with the stuff i picked, just wanted the offer. lol

Same here, I spent ages trying to pick stuff I didn't really need, didn't bother ordering from either of them in the end, and I'm £30 better off. Having said that Marshall Ward are ringing me back in a while so I can order my stuff over the phone and use the £30 discount code...ooh dare I whip out the ole' credit card? :rotfl:
