Leaving my Job - advice on finances please....

If I were in your position - ( i wish!)

I would
a) sell the shares
b) buy the cheapest most reliable motor i could find
c) pay off the credit cards
d) leave 3.5k in savings
e) chuck the rest at the mortgage. If you can overpay by 500 a month then do it !

Thanks - I know I'm lucky and I think this is my chance to really get ahead on the finances front, so didnt want to stuff up!

I have opened an ICICI account and will throw as much as I can in that when I get the money (split it over 2 financial years to pay as little tax as possible). Put some into an ISA etc etc

Am going to sell the shares - better in my account making some interst that sitting in my foloder gathering dust.

Need to finance the Uni degree for 3 years somehow - but you cant psend what you dont have can you ? (Well actually guess you can otherwise I wouldnt owe £12K) Stared off at £26 k though, so must have done something right....

I will overpay as much of the mortgage as I can even when studying.

Now I just need to find a job to cover the basics...!
