HELP needed re Kenwood Chef Restore

Hi..I have recently 'inherited' an old Kenwood Chef 701a. Its in full working order, however, it needs a new electrical lead etc and I would be happier if it was fully serviced. Whilst searching I came across the above Company (sorry I'm not allowed to post the link as I'm a newbie) and I can't seem to find anywhere local to me that will do a full service/restoration. Before I fork out the money wonder if anyone has used Kenwood Chef Restore and what their experience was? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

If it ain't broke don't fix it would be my recommendation - if its in full working why fork out?

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain myself. Unfortunately the rubber casing on the electrical wire has deteriorated and bare wires are showing. Its also a bit 'tatty'. Hub looked at the wiring and won't touch it with a barge pole. I don't mind paying to have a pristine machine, especially as Kenwood Chef Restore have recently reduced their prices.

what ever you pay it will be well worth
doing Kenwood Chefs are excellent.

From what you say it sounds
like you need a new
mains electric cable,do you have any
local electrical repair shops localy
as something like this would be a
straight forward enough job.

Just asked DH he reckons its an
easy repair and should not cost too
much as its a straight forward enough
repair for any electrician

In that case I'd just et a local elec shop to replace the cable. Obv its your call if you want it sparkly new looking and have the money to spend bit to a tightwad like me i wouldn't pay to have something that worked perfectly well 'fixed'

Hi, the wire on my very old Kenwood Chef was chewed through by a puppy recently and it was very simple to replace, just needed a couple of screws loosening and new wire put in, cost us a couple of pounds for new wire. Good luck with getting yours sorted! they work really well and last for years.

I've looked for reviews of this company, but haven't had any luck at all.
