When will 90% Remortgage rates reduce??!!!

Hi,

We are currently on YBS SVR of 4.99% which is great, but we feel quite uneasy at not being on a fixed - does anyone know when it is likely for the remortgage 90% deals to come down??

Any information would be much appreciated- thank you!

I'm not sure rates will reduce at 90%. There are few lenders lending at this level, and remember all those newer lenders that increased competition, have all gone - dozens of them, so the big players have little incentive to drop rates.

Small Building Societies also have less competition now and are adverse to high ltv lending.

Mervyn King himself often makes the point he has no idea whats around the next bend and anyone that implies they do is a liar (his words).

    Good luck

    I heard its tomorrow?!

Sorry could not hold back. It will be when lenders want to lend at that LTV. This may be some time.

We're in a similar situation. We came off our fixed rate 5 months ago and now on Nationwides SVR which is fantastic at 2.5%. However I do miss the fixed rate, if we wanted a fixed rate with Nationwide now it'd be close to 7% and thats just far too much when I'm comparing with the SVR.

I know interest rates will go up but I'd rather wait and see how it goes.

Rates are likely to go up rather than down. The Bank of England can't cut any more. Rates are as low as you are going to see them - better to fix now.

Plenty are in the sme dilemma. In my opinion, it would take a while for attractive deals to appear at 90%LTV.
But then, anything is possible. Let's see what oga Chancellor has to offer
