I don't have a big problem but have found a few woodlice and what I think was an earwig. I hate creepy crawlies and was wondering if anyone had a natural way to deter them, I live in an old ground floor flat, and have a dog so I would want something that wouldn't harm her. I disinfect my floors regularly, which are tiled so I have no carpet.
Thanks for your help

I'd try some tea tree oil around the edge of the floor to see if that would help.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0

I'm not sure, but are they attracted to damp? Maybe there is a specific spot they come in or are attracted to.
We get them in our kitchen but the spiders tend to kill them.Looking forward to the future.0 -
Thanks for your suggestions, I do have a bit of damp in the bedroom but try to open my windows every day. I'll give the tea tree oil a go. Any other suggestions welcome!0

Citronella might work for insects, not sure about the slaters though. Woodlice like damp, dark places and dry out easily (they breathe through gills). You can get electronic plug-in deterrents, which won't affect your pet, and will also repel most other varieties of crawlies including spiders. They're not cheap, but you may find them worthwhile if you can't stand the thought of just picking 'em up and plonking them on the nearest plant like I do."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -

Just a thought. When I had ants in my kitchen I took the morning off work and sprayed regular kitchen cleaner everywhere. It did the job and they never came back. Rather than wiping it off I left it. I'd try that first before spending money you dont really need to.Looking forward to the future.0
