BR and Mobile Phone Contracts

Hi
Just curious how does it work - mobile phone wise, are you allowed to retain your contract?

Thanks
Pip

Provided it allowed in your statement of affairs & not too excessive in monthly cost then you can keep it....assuming you are up to date with your contractual payments.

    Hope that helps

I went BR last July and it hasn't affected my contract with Vodafone.

  • I have retained my mobile contract, in fact I have a free upgrade arriving today, so I can sell my current phone on ebay!

One thing to bear in mind though.....IF you decided to switch to another provider while bankrupt you'll more than likley fail the credit checks...other than that you'll be fine (including upgrades) as others have said

  • That's the truth - I was looking to alter my contract from business to personal but changed my mind when they mentioned the dreaded "credit checks"! I just changed the address listed from my office to home.
