My 15 year old daughter loves this site - it's just like Itunes in that you maintain your own lists but you can search for any music. It's free.

There's no catch. Every now and then, an advertisement is played. That's how Spotify works. If you upgrade and pay, you don't get any adverts.

it's really great! been using it for a few months now, get to hear brand new albums and rediscover old ones too!

if anyone uses the website last.fm, this is a good little tool for both last.fm and spotify: http://lutt.se/lastfm+spotify+new/index.php - it takes your last.fm log in name and tells you what new albums spotify has added that suit your tastes! :j

I have to agree it's a great site. I came across it a few weeks ago when it was reviewed it in Computer Active magazine (they too gave it the thumbs up!!) They have a wide range of music to keep everyone happy and you can use the service for free by listening to an advert after every 5 or 6 songs.
