Money Makeovers

sure most of you will have seen adverts (in all media forms) for "money makeovers", where I think someone pulls together all your outgoings, (utilities, mortgages etc) and shows you how to save, exactly as Martin did on MMR but they charge for the pleasure of it! Just wondered, how much would you be prepared to pay for such a service, and what sort of savings would you expect them to bring?

I wouldn't pay a penny. If I was persuaded to part with any money I'd first want to see the persons qualifications. IE If they put you on to a different house insurer with slightly different terms and conditions and you then lost out on a claim, will they compensate you.
Likewise, what data are they using for their information? I had a PowerGen rep tell me Ebico did not exist because they were not listed on Uswitch.com (which he was using to try to tell me my bills would be higher, they weren't).
All in all, not a good idea.

Absoutely not. IN fairness, dealing with debt involves very basic commonsense - ie spend as little as you possibly can and give your savings to those you owe to.
And if I have debt, I woudnt think it a good idea to start to pay for something that I didnt need before:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
