In my purse is sitting a little £10 New look gift card - how many items can i get??

Options
Good morning, this is a bit random but hey you need random once in a while!!

Found a little £10 New look gift card in my purse, i bought it as a back up gift for my sister but got her something else.

Today as a challenge, I am going to go to New Look and see how many items I can get for £10!! Could do with treating myself as I am currently money saving in all possible routes as debt is high and need to get it down!

Shops like Primark are easy to get lots for £10 but I think this will be interesting! I was reading last night on here how to cut back on shopping bills, which I found ever so interesting!

Would love to hear if anyone has ever given themselves a challenge like this!!!

Will post my failure or success later on!

  • So you're going to buy things "because they're cheap", rather than things you actually need the most?

Doesn't sound very MoneySaving to me

I find NL arent as cheap as you think, so dont think this challenge will work unless they have a great sale on.

well what a successful trip one has had...... attitude of how many things I can get with £10 gift card turned into success and not even for me as I found things for the family.

    I got:
tshirt for cousin1 - £2.00 (reduced from £8) bday present
1 necklace for sister - £3.00 (reduced from £10) christmas present
2 bracelets for mum and sister - £2 - (£1 each) (reduced from £4 each) christmas present
    1 belt for cousin2 - £2.00 (reduced from £6.00) christmas present
1 pair of earrings for auntie - £1.00 (reduced from £3.00) christmas present

See it just shows if you go to the sale part and hunt around you do get bargains! My christmas shopping is on its way and saving me a small fortune,

Who said I wasnt money saving???

OK, I'll eat my words. Well done.

That is, of course, that the clothes actually look good... anything with big shiny letters on doesn't count ;)

I got a fab blouse in NL last week - down from £28 to £4 on a clearance rail. Used the 20% off voucher in the instore mag (as per this site) and it cost me only £3.20. Not a place I normally shop but was delighted with my wee bargain!
