class 2...if a bit delayed in paying them do they go up and within what time frame? thanks in advance.

Gosh, haven't dealt with a case like this for years. It used to be that if they were not paid within twelve months of the end of the relevant tax year then you would have to pay the going rate for the year in which they were paid (instead of the rate when they were due).

No doubt someone will correct me if this has changed.

contributions could be paid at the end of the year for example. but if one of us falls ill and not paid up to current date do we lose our entitlement to sick pay etc.thanks so far Elaine.
