    DSG (PC World, Dixons, Currys) and Comet have the 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD models (Linux) at £179. Comet have the same spec with Windows XP at £199, and a (white only) 120GB disk instead of the SSD for £170.

  • The A150L (120GB SATA hard drive version) gets a good write up here;

    though the battery life isn't great (mostly because of the Linux OS it would seem).

    I imagine battery life ought to be pretty important with a netbook - I don't think 2.5hours of light use before it needs recharging is that great. Maybe the SSD versions are better, but 8GB isn't much space IMO.

    :confused:

    Rubbish. If that was the case the Aspire One wouldnt be the most popular netbook at the moment. I have one and it is perfectly good for what it is intended - net useage and occasional light office tasks.
