Tesco Clothing Vouchers Question
Saban
I recieved the Tesco clothing £25 vouchers this morning and i was just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to use more than one voucher in one transaction? I know it says one per transaction on the back, but im hoping the till will accept more than one!
Also could these be used on grocceries or will the till just not accept it?
Many thanks for any advice!

Hello Saban/Floflo,
I have used all the vouchers at once.
I spent around £54.00, the sales assistant first took of £10.00, and then proceeded to take off all the other amounts, which left very little to pay at the end.
I think, in general it depends on the assistant and store. I didn't ask for this, the assistant kindly volunteered to do this for me.

Thanks for your quick response!
Did the vouchers scan or did the sales assistant put them through manually? Did you buy all clothing or was some of it grocceries?:dance:0 -
Has anyone else used these vouchers?:dance:0

Yes, I've used more than one of these in one transaction - I was buying clothes though and don't think these will work on groceries as they are Tesco's own vouchers.
The way it works, you have to spend the minimum amount for your highest voucher, and the till should accept the lower ones as well. E.g. if you're buying £30 worth of clothes, it will accept the £4, £5 and £6. Note: the till will accept them, not necessarily the SA (hence go for the young bloke on the till
). It helps if you're using other vouchers at the time and can shuffle them about a bit.
Also, from what I've heard, the £10 voucher doesn't always scan and you might have to go to the CS to get your money back.0 -
I applied for these weeks ago . They have just turned up in todays post ....
£10 off when you spend £50 or more on clothes
£6 off when you spend £30 or more on clothes
£5 off when you spend £25 or more on clothes
£4 off when you spend £20 or more on clothes
They will come in handy with the sale being on.Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0 -
It didnt work like that for me in my local tesco (Northharbour) I spent about £110.00 and handed over the two £10 ones. one went through the other didnt so the checkout lady called over a supervisor who said "no only one per transaction" so the checkout lady voided £50.00 worth and put them through separately to let me have the second £10.00 off.Tara the Jack Russell, gone to the bridge 5 February 2014.

Wonder if you can't use two of the same one? You probably could've used the smaller value ones, though! (but well done to the checkout lady for splitting your shop into two!)Julzed wrote:It didnt work like that for me in my local tesco (Northharbour) I spent about £110.00 and handed over the two £10 ones. one went through the other didnt so the checkout lady called over a supervisor who said "no only one per transaction" so the checkout lady voided £50.00 worth and put them through separately to let me have the second £10.00 off.
And as I said before, the £10 voucher is tricky because it doesn't always scan properly.0 -

hi,
yes, you can only use one coupon of each type as the till recognises the barcode.
if you've got two £4 off £20, even if you spend £50 it will only accept one.
it wont accept two £10 off £50 as theyve got the same barcode.
The same goes for clubcard points coupons.
If youve got one points coupon for 50 when you spend £2 on ready meals and youve also got a coupon for 50 points when you spend £2 on frozen food, you can buy frozen ready meals to the value of £2 and use both coupons because the coupons have different barcodes!0
