Not sure if this is in the correct forum ? (is there actually a correct f orum ???)
This is a bit of a long shot but here goes....
I bought a DVD recorder from amazon last week for 89.99, the day after i ordered it the price went down to 79.99, is this tough luck or do they have a 'find it cheaper within 7 days' sort of refund policy ?????
just thought i'd ask if anyone done the same
cheers

Not that I'm aware of. I bought a boxed DVD set which I had on pre-order for the release date, when I got it I found that tesco had the same set for £10(ish) less, contacted Amazon and their customer service dept told me they didn't have a price match policy.
This was last year though so they may have changed their policy by now but I doubt it.0 -
If Amazon put the price down than they should refund you the money (if the item hasn't already been dispatched). I have received emails from them on several occasions saying something I have ordered has gone down in price so they have credited money to my account. I can understand why they don't have a price match policy. Can you imagine if people all over the country were emailing them saying their local shop was selling a book cheaper? It's be chaos!0

E mail them from the website whilst signed on to your account and with no quibble the money is refunded within a few days. Tried this a week or two ago and upon request they do this when changes in price occur within 30 days of dispatch.
Reply read Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.
The discounts we offer for items on our website do vary from time to
time. I've checked your order and found that we now offer a greater discount than at the time you placed your order.
We are only able to adjust the price of an order in instances where
less than thirty days have passed between the date on which an order
was dispatched and the time that an item is reduced in price on our
site.
I have therefore requested a refund to your payment card. This amount reflects the difference between the price you were charged and the current discounted price. The refund should appear as a credit on your next bank statement.0 -
Cheers Rogerb, i'll give that a try right away0
