I want to bling up a hoodie with diamontes

Anyone used Hotfix rhinestones or diamontes?Hi, hope it's ok to post here...I've asked on the crafting thread but realised I should maybe be here.....mods feel free to remove the one in incorrect place.

My teenage daughters both have birthdays coming up and they are looking for hoodies with heavy diamonte type bling all over them....the only ones I've really seen are the Pauls Boutique type which are too expensive for me at £65 each so I thought I might have a go at blinging a hoodie up myself....has anyone got any experience of this?
I'm looking for any hints and tips as to the application....like should I buy one of the hotfix tools? Any cool design ideas? Any advice as to the best suppliers etc etc....
